Downtown State College Small Business Saturday — Saturday, Nov. 30

Downtown State College is inviting people to venture downtown to visit State College’s locally owned businesses this Small Business Saturday on Saturday, Nov. 30. While shopping small this holiday season, guests are encouraged to check out the Light Up Night lighting attraction in the MLK Plaza.

Small Business Saturday Handmade Market — Saturday, Nov. 30

There will be a Small Business Saturday Handmade Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, in the parking lot of the Gamble Mill in Bellefonte. There will be 16 local vendors to shop for handmade goods and crafts.

2024 Bellefonte Shop Small Crawl — Saturday, Nov. 30

The 2024 Bellefonte Shop Small Crawl will be all day on Small Business Saturday, on Saturday, Nov. 30, throughout Bellefonte. The 100 people to arrive at the Speakeasy in the Gamble Mill at 10 a.m. will receive a tote bag designed by local artist, Jordan Haines. With more than a dozen local Bellefonte businesses participating, free gifts and discounts will be given to shoppers who present their tote bags.

Downtown Bellefonte Tree Lighting — Saturday, Nov. 30

The Downtown Bellefonte Tree Lighting will kick off with festivities at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30 in Bellefonte’s Tallyrand Park as part of Small Business Saturday.

Knit Wits — Monday, Dec. 2

Community members are invited to bring their knitting or crocheting projects from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at the Holt Memorial Library in Philipsburg. All skill levels are welcome to join. There is no set project, so guests are asked to bring what they are currently working on.

Bird Walks with The State College Bird Club — Tuesday, Dec. 3

The State College Bird Club invites participants to start their day observing local birds from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center in State College. The bird walks are guided by members of the State College Bird Club and are open to all ages. Guests are asked to dress weather-ready and bring binoculars. The program is free but a donation of $5 per participant is encouraged and supports Millbrook Marsh Nature Center.

Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church Holiday Sale — Friday, Dec. 6, through Sunday, Dec. 8

Our Lady of Victory Church is hosting a Holiday Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the OLV activity center social hall, library and hallway in State College. There will be crafts, gifts, baked goods, toys and more at the sale. Proceeds will benefit local charities in the community.

Christmas Craft Market — Saturday, Dec. 7

There will be a Holiday Craft Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Park Forest Village United Methodist Church in State College. At the market, there will be handmade crafts, vendors, baked goods, jewelry, books, quilts, ornaments and more. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
