CENTRE COUNTY — Kish Bank’s Kish for the Cure campaign raised a record amount of money to help cancer fighting nonprofits in Central Pennsylvania.
In a press release, Kish Bank expressed extreme gratitude to their partners, local business, customers and their community who helped them raise over $90,000 to support local nonprofits.
Funds from the employee-lead fundraiser will be given to the Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, Pennsylvania Pink Zone and American Cancer Society events in Central Pennsylvania.
“We are fortunate and so grateful to have Kish Bank in our corner. The partnership between the Bob Perks Fund and Kish Bank has allowed us to allocate more funds every year, thus helping more patients in the counties we serve,” Rob Heim, board president of Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund, shared. “Every dollar raised helps alleviate the financial burden on cancer patients in our communities. We appreciate everyone who helped with this hugely successful and record-setting campaign.”
Since the inception of Kish for the Cure in 2012, over $625,000 has been raised.
“The Pink Zone is so blessed to have a caring partnership with Kish Bank,” Tammy Miller, PA Pink Zone board president, said. “Everyone who is part of the Kish community shows an incredible passion and commitment to the breast cancer community. Kish’s support allows us to assist so many more people in Central Pennsylvania We are beyond grateful.”
Tom Chucuddy, development manager for the American Cancer Society, shared a similar sentiment to Miller and Heim, noting, “the American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
“We could not advance our mission without the passionate support of our volunteers and our communities. Cancer touches all of us in one way or another. By supporting the American Cancer Society, Kish Bank is helping to bring hope to those facing a cancer diagnosis.”
