STATE COLLEGE — A Pittsburgh man was arrested on Friday, Dec. 13, after he was accused of selling cocaine and other illegal drugs out of the Penn State fraternity house he was living at in State College.

According to the affidavit, the investigation into 22-year-old Thomas M. Robinson began in September after a tip from an informant that Robinson was selling drugs from the Delta Upsilon fraternity house at 229 Locust Lane.
Robinson was charged with 13 felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, five felony counts of criminal use of a communication facility, nine misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Robinson was listed as a Penn State World Campus student, according to the university’s directory.

Court records indicated that police conducted five purchases where informants arranged to buy cocaine from the suspect. The confidential informants were under police supervision and investigators used court-authorized recording devices for four of the purchases. On one of the occasions, police said that Robinson told the informant the smallest amount of cocaine he would sell was half an ounce.

Officers executed a search warrant when arresting Robinson and as he was being taken into custody, police said he told them he thought a prank was being played on him by his fraternity brothers.

The search warrant found bags of cocaine, cannabis, amphetamine pills and dextroamphetamine pills in addition to $1,862 in cash and a handgun.

According to court documents, Robinson was arraigned by District Judge Kelley Gillette-Walker with a bail set at $150,000. It was reported that Robinson posted bond on Friday, Dec. 13.
