OktoberFest — Sept. 22
OktoberFest will take place on Friday, Sept. 22, at 5:30 p.m. at Tussey Mountain resort in Boalsburg. Guests are invited to celebrate the changing of the seasons with food, music and drink. There will be live performances from the Polka Brothers and the Bavarian Stompers.
Curtin United Methodist Church’s Fall Yard-N-Bake Sale — Sept. 22-23
Curtin United Methodist Church is hosting its Fall Yard-N-Bake Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. The church is inviting guests to stop in and say hello, check out some bargains and grab a bite to eat. There will be baked goods, homemade soups, hot dogs and more.
Pumpkin Patch Opening and Way Fruit Farm History Day — Sept. 29-30
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., vendors and food trucks will be at Way Fruit Farm. The event is open to
the public.
22nd Annual Downtown Fall Festival — Sept. 30
The 22nd Annual Downtown Fall Festival in State College will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free event features pumpkin painting, pony rides, a fun house, food vendors and more. Fall Fest 2023 will be on the 200 block of Allen Street with fun and games for the whole family.
Rooted Farmstead’s Fall Market — Sept. 30
From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., this seasonal event that’s open to the public will have local vendors, food, drinks, music and family games. Musician and songwriter Conner Gilbert will perform at 1 p.m.
Pumpkin Festival — Oct. 6-7
The Arboretum at Penn State’s annual Pumpkin Festival will last from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, and 3-9
p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, featuring a pumpkin giveaway, jack-o’-lantern illumination, light displays, games and crafts.
Boalsburg Renaissance Faire — Oct. 7
The second annual Boalsburg Renaissance Faire will take place at the Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. There will be demonstrations, food, museum tours, live animals, activities, music and dancing, crafts and more. Admission is $10 per person, and children two and younger are free. All proceeds will go towards the Columbus Chapel and the Boal Mansion Museum.
Good Shepherd Catholic Church Fall Festival — Oct. 21
Good Shepard Catholic Church is holding a Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21. The free event will have activities for children and shopping for adults with baked goods, knitted items, household goods, raffle gift baskets, food trucks and more.
Punkin’ Chunkin’ Fall Festival — Oct. 21
This one-day free festival on Saturday, Oct. 21, will be filled with pumpkin launching, food concessions, craft vendors, hayrides, children’s activities and a pumpkin pie eating contest. The event will take place at Bald Eagle State Park.
Fall Arts & Crafts Fair — Oct. 27-28
Christ Community Church in State College is hosting a Fall Arts & Crafts Fair from Friday, Oct. 27, to Saturday, Oct. 28. The festival will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both days. There will be food, arts and crafts and bounce houses.
Halloween Parade — Oct. 29
The 75th Annual Centre Region Parks and Recreation Halloween Costume parade is returning to downtown State College on Sunday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m. All ages and costumes are welcome with a costume judging contest at State College High School’s Memorial Field.
