BELLEFONTE — An Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Samuel Henry, son of Pat and Shannon Henry, recently took place at Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
He is a member of Bellefonte Boy Scout Troop 34 under the leadership of Scoutmaster Brian Sedgwick.
Sam earned 49 merit badges and is entering his junior year at the Bellefonte Area High School.
For his Eagle Scout project, Sam designed, built and installed a community garden sign for the residents of Governor’s Gate Apartments in Bellefonte, along with building a water catchment system for the gardens.
In addition, he assembled two benches at the location.
Those presenting awards or commendations included Patrick Corbett, Bellefonte Elks Lodge 1094; Bryan Sampsel, Centre County sheriff; Kerry Benninghoff, PA state representative; and Thomas Stoner, Nittany Leathernecks.
