STATE COLLEGE — As leaves fall, Mount Nittany Middle School and Mount Nittany Elementary School faculty and students are planning their own colorful display.

On Nov. 4 and 5, the schools’ annual clothing drive will present an array of free, gently-used clothing, coats, shoes, boots and accessories from infant to XXXL sizes, all free for the taking in the Mount Nittany Middle School cafeteria at 656 Brandywine Drive. Shoppers also will be able to browse backpacks, bedding, household items, toys, books and sports gear.

Hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, and noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5.

Typically, the event collects hundreds of pounds of clothing and items to offer to the public. Anything not taken is donated to the Goodwill of North Central Pennsylvania. Last year, organizers delivered approximately 500 pounds of clothing, as well as many other items that weren’t weighed.

Donations may be dropped off at Mount Nittany Middle School from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
