STATE COLLEGE — Attorney Jenna Franks has become a new partner of the elder law firm of Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, according to a press release.
Franks joins founding shareholder Attorney Julie Steinbacher and Attorney Landon Hodges, who became a partner in 2021, as the three partners of the law firm. Her status as a partner took effect on April 1.
Franks has been with Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak since 2017, when she returned to her native Pennsylvania to be closer to family. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced law in Florida, where she remains licensed in a several different areas of law, before focusing her law practice solely in elder law.
She is a cum laude law school graduate of Nova Southeastern University just outside of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., During her time there, she was a member of the Steven R. Booher American Inns of Court, the Broward County Bar Association, Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and the National Transactional LawMeet competition. She earned her undergraduate degree in crime, law and justice from Penn State in 2009.
At Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak, her focus is primarily on estate, long-term care and special needs planning and she works primarily out of the firm’s State College office. She serves on the advisory board for Harmony personal care community and on the leadership team for Adult Children with Aging Parents of Centre County (ACAP).
Franks is also an active member in several Centre County based groups, including the Geriatric Interest Network of Centre County, Centre County Senior Center Coalition, Academy of Special Needs Planners and Centre County Bar Association.
A certified dementia practitioner and also certified as a VA-accredited attorney, Franks was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In addition, she has co-authored the book “Protect Your Family! What You Really Need to Know for the Second Half of Life,” as well as the 2021 and 2022 “Supplements to the Pennsylvania Trust Guide: A Handbook for Trustees and Their Advisors.”
More recently, Franks became an Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer.
She resides in Bellwood with her husband, Josh, and children Ava and Grayson.
