STATE COLLEGE — Revamped, the violin duo of Mark Minnich and Sally Williams Minnich, will perform as part of the UUFCC Music Series at 3 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Centre County, 780 Waupelani Drive.

The program will feature works by Vivaldi, Bartok and Monti, as well as selections the duo has arranged for two violins. The arrangements have been described as daring and innovative and done in a way that is entirely their own.

Revamped has performed in the U.S. and abroad, including appearances as soloists with the Altoona Symphony, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra. They have also performed for the Central Pennsylvania Festival for the Arts.

Both performers hold bachelor degrees in music from Bowling Green State University and master’s degrees in music from Penn State University.

Mark Minnich is concertmaster of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and maintains a teaching studio in State College. He also teaches in the State College Suzuki Program at the State College Music Academy and is orchestra director and strings teacher at the Grier School. Currently he serves as president of the Penn’s Woods Music Festival and is a member of the Festival Orchestra.

Sally Williams Minnich is a freelance performer, music educator, arranger and composer. She has invented extended techniques for the violin that are showcased by Revamped. Currently she serves as director of the State College Suzuki Program at the State College Music Academy.
