The Pennsylvania State University Student Programming Association (SPA) Concerts Committee is bringing GloRilla to the Bryce Jordan Center on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
GloRilla, born Gloria Hallelujah Woods, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. Recently referred to as “Memphis’ Reigning Hip-Hop Queen”, she first became known for her 2022 single “F.N.F.”, which reached top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was nominated for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Not long after, a remixed sequel of her follow-up single, “Tomorrow”, with Cardi B reached top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and went double platinum. Her single “Blessed” also went gold before her debut EP “Anyways, Life’s Great” entered the Billboard 200 at number 11.
GloRilla won Best New Hip-Hop Artist at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, and a similar award at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Her 2024 singles, “Yeah Glo!” and “Wanna Be”, both reached top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 just before her debut commercial mixtape, “Ehhthang Ehhthang”, hit the number 18 spot on the Billboard 200. Following her third top 40 single of 2024, “TGIF”, her debut studio album “Glorious” peaked at number 5 on Billboard 200.
