The Nittany Valley Symphony will present its program “Timeless Treasures” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in Eisenhower Auditorium.
The program will feature two masterpieces of the Romantic era: Johannes Brahms’ Violin Concerto and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5.
The Brahams piece will feature violinist Jim Lyon as soloist in this tour de force concerto. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 will be highlighted by the second movement’s solo featuring principal horn player Kathryn Beck.
