The Resource is Resistance Fair will take place on Saturday, April 19th from 1PM – 4 PM at our storefront at 130 South Allegheny Street in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. We invite you to engage with and learn more about the community-serving organizations and resources available in Centre County. The fair will focus on the following areas:
- Immigration
- Reproductive Rights
- LGBTQIA+ Rights
- Rural Health
- Mental Health
- Housing Security
- Food Security
- Crisis Intervention
- Recovery/ Addiction
The Resource is Resistance Fair will include collaborators from the following nonprofit organizations:
- The Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the ACLU
- Applegate Recovery
- AR Health
- Center for Immigrants’ Rights Clinic (Penn State Dickinson Law)
- Centre County Bridge of Hope
- Centre Helps
- Central Pennsylvania United
- Centre Safe
- Mid-State Literacy Council
- Out of the Cold Centre County
- Penn State Students United Against Poverty
This event is meant to bring together local organizations, nonprofits, and service providers to offer guidance, support, and information-sharing. The Resource is Resistance Fair will serve as a community bridge, fostering collaboration between organizations and the public while promoting empowerment and resistance within the community. Entertainment will be provided for younger children. Additionally, transportation can be arranged for those who complete the RSVP form here.
