Rumpelstiltskin: Private Eye – St. John Drama Club

The St. John Drama Club at St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Bellefonte will present Rumpelstiltskin: Private Eye. Two showings are planned on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 3 PM and 6 PM in the school auditorium located at 116 E. Bishop Street. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door.
There is chaos in the Land of Make-Believe! A crime wave has struck, and everyone is in trouble. The Three Bears’ house has been ransacked, the Three Little Pigs’ homes have been reduced to rubble, and now- Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother has vanished without a trace! Are these just random crimes or is there someone behind it all?
Only one detective can end this mayhem—Rumpelstiltskin, Private Eye! With his wise-cracking partner, Ugly Duckling, by his side, this mismatched duo will follow the clues, interrogate quirky suspects, and uncover the truth in a hilarious, fast-paced spoof of classic fairy tales.
Director and St. John teacher Natalie Stanton said 22 talented students from grades 4 & 5 are participating in the show, which began rehearsing in October. Volunteers have helped to prepare sets and costumes. Stanton shares, “Our performers can’t wait to welcome the community to share this fun story and display all their hard work and dedication.”
Rumpelstiltskin: Private Eye is packed with humor, suspense, and unforgettable characters. This fun-filled mystery will have audiences of all ages laughing from start to finish!
