Spring Cleaning Shoe Drive
March 1 – April 30 EST
WHAT: The community is invited to clean out their closet for a shoe drive to raise funds to support the Bellefonte Area Class of 2028 senior year activities. Donations of gently worn, used and new shoes will be accepted. The amount of money raised is determined by the total weight of the shoes collected.
All donated shoes will be redistributed to micro-enterprise partners through Funds2Orgs, a for profit social enterprise, and used in developing nations for impoverished people to start their own businesses.

DETAILS: In the US alone, over 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown away per year. The materials used to manufacture a pair of shoes are created from chemical compounds that will create health hazards if left to disintegrate openly or in landfills. By donating your gently worn, used and new shoes to the BAHS Class of 2028 Parent Group, your shoes are given a second chance to make a difference.
About BAHS Class of 2028 Parent Group:
We are a non-profit group made up of parents/guardians of the Bellefonte Areas School District Class of 2028. Our goal is to raise funds to support our children’s senior year activities. These activities include their Senior Picnic, Senior Gifts, All-Night After Prom Party, and more.
