C. Rosella (Walker) Albright

C. Rosella Albright, of Spring Mills, passed from this life on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Wynwood House at Salem Hill Haven.  She was 97.  Born January 17, 1924 in Farmers Mills, Rosella was a daughter of the late Merrill and Cora “Fredricks” Walker.  She was a graduate of the former Gregg Township Vocational School in Spring Mills.  On December 12, 1940 she married Kenneth L. Albright, Sr. who passed away on November 24, 1973. 

Rosella is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Albright, Jr. (Geanie) and Guy T. Albright (Joyce); eight grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.  Rosella is the last of her family having been preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and, also one daughter, Molly Neese and a son, Harold Albright.

Rosella enjoyed bowling and participated in a league at Millheim Lanes.  She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, vegetable and flower gardening and reading Amish fiction.  She was an avid Steeler and Penn State Football fan.  This past summer Rosella attended her 71st Grange Fair where she had tented all those years. 

Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home in Millheim.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Pastor Carol Lindsay officiating.  Rosella will be laid to rest in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Spring Mills.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rosella may be given to Grane Hospice, 115 Union Ave., Altoona PA 16602.
