Daniel Edward O’Neill, 58, of Bellefonte, PA, died November 4, 2021, at home after a short battle with esophageal cancer.
Born April 6, 1963, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late George and Joyce O’Neill. He was married to Joy Lynn Anderson on September 30, 1989, who survives him in death.
He is survived by three children, Jeffrey Daniel O’Neill of Bellefonte, PA; Ashley Lynn O’Neill of Pleasant Gap, PA; and Kevin Thomas O’Neill of State College, PA. Dan is also survived by his siblings Tim (Mark) O’Neill of Columbus, OH; Tom (Ginny) O’Neill of Ostrander, OH; twin Don (Pam) O’Neill of Midlothian, IL; and Kathleen (Ralph) Esposito of Apex, NC.
Dan was a graduate of Westerville North High School and earned his degree from Franklin University. He was the director of financial services for First Quality Enterprises and was a Certified International Credit Professional and Certified Credit Executive. He attended the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, earning the Executive Award with Highest Distinction. He also attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
He served six years as a sergeant in the Ohio Army National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1989.
He will be remembered in his family by his sense of humor in dark times, his benevolent and sacrificial nature, his protective spirit, his righteous disposition, his guiding hand, an ironclad integrity, and his love for the lake and family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 Atherton Street, State College, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tim Guyer officiating.
