Harry J. Wolfe, 85, of Julian, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Born on December 29, 1939, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harry and Anna (McClellan) Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel L. (Hoover) Wolfe, who passed on August 6, 2022. Together, they shared many years of love and companionship.
Harry was a proud 1956 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. In the same year, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he earned the rank of Airman 2nd Class and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Harry served honorably until his discharge in December 1962 and was always deeply proud of his military service.
Harry worked for many years in the local community, first at Murata Erie in State College for 17 years and later at Cerro Copper and Brass in Bellefonte. He retired after many dedicated years of service.
An avid sports fan, Harry loved following local and national teams. He was especially passionate about Penn State sports—football, basketball, baseball, and wrestling—as well as cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a frequent supporter of Bald Eagle Area and Bellefonte Area High School sports. Outside of sports, Harry enjoyed spending time in his garden, camping, and relaxing at the beach.
A dedicated member of the Milesburg Baptist Church and the Milesburg American Legion Post 893, Harry proudly served as Past Commander. His sense of community and service to others were evident in all that he did.
