Jane L Cain, 75, of Centre Hall, passed away suddenly at her home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Born on December 30, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Leroy R. and Arlene (Mulbarger) Gill. On October 15, 1983, in Milesburg, she married Philip E. Cain, who survives.

Jane was a 1968 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. She, along side her husband, worked at Cole Transportation for many years, driving buses. She also worked as at Bell Greek Pizza and McDonalds at the Nittany Mall location.

Jane attended the Gods Missionary Church in Penns Valley. She enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting word search puzzles, and attending the Grange Fair. She liked all holidays but absolutely loved Christmas. She would decorate, putting up lights everywhere. Then she and Philip would drive around Centre Hall and look at the others’ decorations. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Jane is survived by her husband, Philip, two nephews: David W. Swisher and his wife, Christina, of Philipsburg, and Daniel L. Swisher and his wife, Alicia, of Julian; one great niece, Ericia Smeal and her husband, David, and their two children; Liam and River, and one great nephew. Devon Swisher. We cannot forget to mention all her cousins and extended family in New York.

Jane is also survived by Philip’s side, six sisters in law: Joanne Leigey of Bellefonte, Flora Green of Boalsburg, Judy Cain of Milesburg, Anna Robinson of Bellefonte, Linda Cain of Milesburg, and Ruth Peters and her husband, Bill, of Lock Haven; four brothers in law: Peter Cain of Beech Creek, Andrew Cain of Boalsburg, Benjamin Cain and his wife, Drenda, of Milesburg, and Dale Cain of Milesburg, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her only sister, Ruth Ann Swisher, and her brother-in-law, Earl Cain.

A Celebration of life will be planned and announced later.
