John B. Wells, 47, of Spring Mills, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, with his wife by his side. Born on October 6, 1974, in State College, he was the son of Charlie A. Wells of Spring Mills and the late Linda L (Treastor) Wells. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Kathy L. (Neyman) Wells, whom he married at the Sprucetown Methodist Church, on October 1, 2016.

John graduated from Penns Valley High School in 1993. He drove truck for Bird Trucking for over 20 years until December 2018. He was currently working for Potter Township as part of their road crew. He was a member of the Penns Valley Community Church.

John was an outdoors man and enjoyed farming. He was a member of the Nittany Antique Machinery Club and had been part of the Antique Show at Penns Cave since he was a young boy. He loved to collect 2 cylinder John Deere tractors and antique tractors. He was a kind and loving man. Family meant the world to him. Husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend were not just titles to him, he embodied their meaning and sentiments and strived to show those around him how proud he was to be called each of those things.

Along with his father, Charlie, and wife, Kathy, John is survived by two brothers, Stanley C. Wells and his significant other, Jenny Edwards, and Adam C. Wells, both of Spring Mills and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Along with his mother, John was preceded in death by his aunt, Nancy Wells and his uncle, Ronald “Ronnie” Wells.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, from 5pm – 8pm and on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 10am – 11am at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc in Centre Hall. A funeral service will follow on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11am with Pastor Tom Titus officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Beaver Valley Cemetery in Flinton, PA.
