Kathryn L. “Kitty” Hackenberg, 87, of Milesburg passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022. Kitty was born in Philipsburg on November 20, 1934 the daughter of the late George H. and Gertrude A. Gill Gearhart.
On July 16, 1954 she married Donald R. Hackenberg who preceded her in death on October 19, 2012.
Kitty is survived by her children, Donald J. Hackenberg ( Selena Lingle) of Milesburg, Diane M. (Terry) Gates of Runville, Dennis R. (Linda) Hackenberg of Julian; her sister, Sandra L. Benner of Milesburg and her brother, George E. Gearhart of Texas; her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Gladis O. Reese.
She was a member of the Shiloh Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Centre Squares and volunteered at Centre Peace.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10 A. M. to 11 A. M. with the funeral service to follow at 11 A. M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg, with Vicar Steven Koths, officiating. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co.
