Mary C. Parks, 86, of Pleasant Gap, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Born on July 4, 1937, in Fairview, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Rosetta (Baird) Jones. On November 18, 1953, she married her beloved husband, William Parks, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 21, 1987.
She worked on the assembly line at the former Penn Tran, retiring in 1997, after 20 years of service.
She is survived by her four children, William Parks, Jr. (Trudy) of Centre Hall, Scott Parks of Pleasant Gap, Karen Moerder (Jack) of Hamburg, and Susan Parks of Bellefonte, eight grandchildren: Jamie, Mandi, Amie, Timothy, Matthew, Alysha, Kyle, and Mark, and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Larry Jones (Barb) of Centre Hall, and Andrew Jones of Milton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by six brothers.
Mary enjoyed reading the Bible and looked forward to attending the annual Covalt Gospel Sing. More than anything, she loved to see her family happy. Her children and grandchildren will continue to honor her throughout their lives, as she was the most loving and caring mother and grandmother that any person could have ever had. Her family was truly blessed when God chose her to be their mother and grandmother.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
