Melissa Ann Decker, 38, of Pleasant Gap, passed away unexpectantly at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Saturday, August 1, 2020. She was born in State College on August 10,1981 a daughter of the late Kenneth R. Stine and Roxanne Williams ( Michael ) Fetterman of Julian.
Mel was a graduate of State College High and would go on to study at Penn State where she would meet the love of her life, Aaron Decker. She was united in marriage to Aaron in 2001 and they would be blessed with two children; Jonathan and Arya Decker who survive at their home in Pleasant Gap. Mel was employed for many years at Restek serving in various positions.
She enjoyed reading, spending time with her four cats, but her greatest pleasure came from the time she spent with her husband and her two children. Along with her husband and children she leaves behind her mother and step-dad, Roxanne and Michael Fetterman of Julian, sister, Amy Stine-Schneble ( Matt ) of Leesburg, Virginia, two step-brothers, Matthew Fetterman of Virginia Beach and Michael Fetterman of Southern California, Maternal Grandparents, Margaret and Vaughn Williams of North Carolina, Paternal Grandmother, Shirley Stine of State College, Step-Paternal Grandmother, Eleanor Fetterman of Julian, and several nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles. She was preceded by Paternal step-grandfather Paul A. Fetterman.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no services at this time but a possible service celebrating Melissa’s life will be held in the future.
In lieu of flowers monetary contributions may be made to Aaron Decker at 234 Vanessa Drive, Pleasant Gap, PA. 16823 to assist her family with the current challenges of the Pandemic and the financial challenges that lie ahead.
