Merrill Jackson Gardner, 59, of Howard went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at UPMC Williamsport.
Born in Lock Haven on November 21, 1963, he was the son of Paul J and Beverly A (Shuey) Gardner.
Merrill enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved all of the time he was able to spend by his father’s side, being his father’s right hand man, serving his community by caring for and maintaining the grounds at Schenck’s Cemetery. In his free time you could find him watching and cheering for either Penn State or the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by his parents Paul and Beverly; sister Debra Lyons (Dan); niece Heather Moore (Steve) and their children: Brooklyn and Bruce; niece Tanya and her children: Natalie and Parker; and nephew Daniel and his children: Garrett, Olivia and Kendall.
Merrill was preceded in death by his brother Daniel and a great nephew Ty Moore.
Family and friends will be received for a time of gathering from 4-7pm on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Singer Kader Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A memorial service will immediately follow with Dave Etters officiating.
