Michael S. Stine, 56, of Howard, passed away at his home on Monday, July 4, 2022. He was born on December 17, 1965. He was the son of John and Bonnie Hoffman Chalmers of Dewart, PA.
Mike graduated from Warrior Run High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed in construction. He was united in marriage to Tanya S. White who survives at their home.
Along with his parents and wife he is survived by a son, Justin Young of Howard, three daughters, Danielle (Kevin) Roberts of Maryland, Kayla (Robert Reem) Stine of Lock Haven, and Jennifer Young of Howard, three grandsons, Landon, Braydon, and Collin.
Mike was an avid model railroader since childhood and enjoyed fishing, where he once had an encounter with President Jimmy Carter and drew a map of some of the best streams in the area that was requested by the secret service for the President. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard, with his father, John Chalmers, officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until the service. Burial will be at Hays-Fearon-Bossert Cemetery, Beech Creek.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
