Barbara Ann Paul, of Snow Shoe, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Snow Shoe, she was the daughter of the late Clair L. & Marie Harvey Hall. On August 21, 1947, in Erie, she married Boyd E. Paul, who survives at home.
Barbara was a 1944 graduate from Snow Shoe High School. After graduation Barbara worked for the FBI, Washington DC. Upon returning to Snow Shoe, she was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years, serving the last seven years as Post Master.
Barbara was a faithful, lifetime member of the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church until her illness prevented her from attending. She was an active choir member, Sunday School teacher, UMW member and held various positions within the church. She enjoyed volunteering her time and talents to support her church, community and 4-H. Barbara was a past Matron of Order of the Eastern Star. She also loved working with multi-medium crafts and sewing.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, two daughters; Betsey E. Howell (Stacy) of Runville and Barbara C. Daughenbaugh (the late John L.) of Neptune Beach, FL. Also surviving are five Grandchildren; Barbara McMaster (Bryan), Lori Liberatore (Greg), Jacqueline Daughenbaugh, David Howell, and Bryan Howell (Elaina), seven great grandchildren, one great, great granddaughter, a sister, Vivian Kastner of Bellefonte, and multiple nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 2-3pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St, Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 3pm at the funeral home with Rev. Carl Hill officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
