Edward Earl Flick, Sr., 80, of Julian passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his residence. He was born on April 30, 1934 in State College, the son of the late Carl W. and Margaret E. Finkbiner Flick. On November 5, 1960 in Winchester, VA he married the former Marjorie Jane Shaw Flick, who preceded him in death on May 26, 2012. Earl was a farmer and a milk truck driver. He was a member of the Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Unionville. He served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan and he enjoyed yodelling.
Earl is survived by his five daughters; Teri J. (Joey) Mantle of Blanchard, Carol L. (Jim) Perryman of Unionville, Sarah M. “Peggy” (Eric) Brooks of Centre Hall, Majorie J. (John) McCaslin of Julian and Debra S. Poole (Jr. Boone) of Unionville. Also surviving are Earl's two sons, Edward E. (Marie) Flick, Jr. of Centre Hall and George A. (Cathy) Flick of Julian; two brother in laws, James L. (Nancy) Shaw of Milesburg and McClelland W. (Bunny) Shaw of Snow Shoe; his twelve grandchildren and five great grandchilden. Along with his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his infant son, Carl James Flick on December 31, 1972.
Services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2014 at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, Pa. at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jack S. Palmer officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Union Twp., Centre Co., Pa. where military honors will be accorded. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Bible Fellowship Church, P.O.
