Kent E. Grieb, 55, of Lock Haven, formerly of Loganton, passed suddenly from this life on January 20, 2017. Born June 5, 1961 in Lock Haven, Kent is a son of Elmer G. Grieb (Nancy) of Loganton and the late Mary L. “Quiggle” Grieb.
Kent attended Sugar Valley High School where he participated in baseball and wrestling. He was employed as a mechanic at R. S. Miller Trucking in Loganton. Kent enjoyed shooting pool and darts, horseshoes, hunting and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He also assisted friends with a drag car at Beaver Springs Dragway.
In addition to his father Elmer and his second mother Nancy, Kent is survived by one daughter, Mary M. Jodun (Rusty Miller, Jr.) of Loganton; one son, Steven K. Grieb of Lock Haven; one sister, Tamie J. Weaver (Rod) of Loganton; two grandsons Dakota and Mason Jodun of Loganton, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are siblings through a second marriage; Judy A. Davidson (Mike) of Bellefonte, Dennis H. Carper of Lewistown and Robert A. Carper (Sue) of West Decatur. Kent was preceded in death by a sibling, Roger Carper.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 24th from 6-8 pm at Albright United Methodist Church, 47 E. Main Street, Loganton, followed by the memorial service at 8 pm with Rev. Elizabeth Taylor officiating. Kent will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Loganton. Contributions in memory of Kent may be given to Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, Po Box 437, Millheim, PA 16854.
