Lori A. Cole, 54, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2015, at her home. Born on March 27, 1961, in Bellefonte, she is the daughter of the late Richard McDowell and Janet Cherry McDowell who survives in Centre Crest. On October 20, 1984, in Bellefonte at Faith United Methodist Church, she married Charles Cole who survives at home.
She was a 1979 graduate of the Bellefonte Area High School.
Lori retired in July of 2015 from Penn State University where she worked as a Senior Processor at the Office of Sponsored Programs.
She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte.
Along with her husband and mother she is survived by one daughter; Jenna Cole at home, one son; Daniel Cole (Krista) of Howard, two sisters; Lisa Stamm (Brian) of Bellefonte and Leslie Ramish of Milesburg, one grandson; Rowan Cole, and two nephews; Vince and Nick.
Lori loved spending as much of her free time as possible with her grandson, Rowan.
There will be a public visitation held Friday, September 11, 2015, from 6-8pm, at the Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte, and also Saturday, September 12, 2015, from 10am until 11am, the time of the service, at the Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015, at 11am at the church, with the Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating.
Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Bellefonte.
