Michael Jon Gardner, 51, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his home. Born on December 27, 1964 in Lock Haven, he is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Kelli Gardner. He was the son of Marilyn K. Gardner who preceded him in death, and Darryl Gardner of Flemington.
Michael was a 1983 graduate of Lock Haven Senior High School where he was president of the Spanish Club and played basketball. He was a 1987 graduate of Lock Haven University and member of the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity. He was employed as a project manager for Blackboard Inc. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association, the Pennsylvania Trail Riders, and the Durty Dabbers Motorcycle Club based in Lock Haven. Those who knew Mike knew that in addition to dirt biking, his passions were golf, woodworking, reading, and the Dallas Cowboys. Beyond his own interests, he was generous in helping others and especially loved spending time with his friends and his family, which included his dogs. Mike was very personable, with a smile and demeanor that brought happiness to all who knew him.
In addition to his father, and wife, he is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Gardner, of Linglestown, PA, and his sister, Ann Gardner Mercier, of White Plains, NY. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends, all of whom he was very proud of and loved tremendously.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11am at Stepping
Stones Community Church, 848 Science Park Road, State College, PA with Pastor Dave Michel Officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., Bellefonte.
