Rodney A. Corman, 44, of Bellefonte, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, in Bellefonte. Born Jan. 22, 1967, in Bellefonte, he was a son of Max E. and R. Marie Long Corman, of Pleasant Gap. On Sept. 18, 1993, he married the former Jamie A. Shaw Corman. Mrs. Corman survives at home. Rodney was a 1984 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. Rodney was employed by RTD Embedded Technologies as a purchasing agent. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Pleasant Gap. Rodney was a life member of Pleasant Gap Fire Co., a member of Pleasant Gap American Legion, Central District Fireman's Association, and was a Bellefonte Little League Coach for Supelco.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Chamberlyn M. Corman, and Alexa R. Corman; and one son, Ethan J. Corman, all at home. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Nancy Shaw, of Milesburg; brothers-in-law, David Shaw, and Dennis Shaw; sister-in-law, Jasa (Chris) Dickson; and nieces and nephews, Adam Shaw, Tessa Shaw, Jordon Weinhold, Drew Weinhold, and Dennis Shaw.
Services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Pleasant Gap Lutheran Church, 160 Main St., Pleasant Gap, with Rev. Nathan Pyle officiating. Burial will be in Zion Union Cemetery, Walker Township, Centre Co.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 28, 2011, from 1-3 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Gap Fire Co., 475 Robinson Lane, Pleasant Gap, PA 16823. A Memorial Fund will be at P.N.C. Bank, 801 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, PA 16823 for Chamberlyn M., Alexa R. and Ethan J. Corman.
