Verna A. Kling, 73, of Bellefonte, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on March 8, 1943, in Clarence, she was the daughter of the late George Staco and Mary Alexander Staco of Snow Shoe. She was married to Charles R. Kling, Sr. who survives at home.
Verna was a 1960 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She was a member of the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Church in Snow Shoe. She was a cook at the Bellefonte Area School District, retiring in 2010 after many years of service.
Verna enjoyed cooking, baking, picking mushrooms, and canning. She and Charles could hardly wait for the weekend to arrive, so they could go to their camp. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Each one was special to her and she enjoyed spoiling them. She was a garage sale enthusiast. She was excited when she could find a bargain and add to her collections.
Verna is survived by her mother, husband, daughter; Leisa A. Fisher and her husband, Randy Sr., of Snow Shoe, two sons; Charles R. Kling, Jr. and his wife Elayne, of Clarence, and Todd E. Kling and his wife, Amy, of Howard, seven grandchildren; Randy Fisher, Jr., Kyle Fisher and his wife, Emilee, Jessica Mislinski and her husband, Ryan, Brad Kling and his wife, Kylie, Brandon Kling, Kiersten, Samantha Kling, Austin, and Mitchell Kling, and two great grandchildren.
Also, surviving Verna is one brother, George M. “Mick” Staco of Snow Shoe, and two sisters; Mary Jane Reilly of New Jersey and Margaret “Marg” Crust of Bellefonte.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:30am at the funeral home with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe.
