William D. “Bill” Gillette, Jr. , 37, of Milesburg, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Memorial Missions Hospital, NC. Born on September 27, 1972, in State College, he is the son of William D. and Monica M. Josephson Gillette, Sr. of Snow Shoe.
Bill is a 1991 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was employed as a Framing Foreman for Bachman Homes in Boalsburg. He was of the Catholic faith.
Bill was a member of the Snow Shoe VFW Post 5644. He enjoyed playing slow pitch softball at Hess Field, riding his motorcycle, going hunting & fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was a member of Camp Max. He loved tailgating at the Penn State football games. Bill lived life to the fullest. He looked forward to family gatherings and spending time with his family and friends. He treasured his children.
Along with his parents, Bill is survived by his maternal grandmother, Stephanie M. Josephson of Grassflat, his two children, Dalton J Gillette of Hummelstown, and Tiarra A Rossman of Centre Hall, two sisters; Charity A Shaw (Harry Jr) of Snow Shoe and Gina J. Gillette (Dan Greene) of Milesburg, and his significant other, Kati E Brungart of Bellefonte. Also surviving Bill are: his nieces and nephews, Trent J. Shaw of Snow Shoe, Komal and Alexis Chantal of Virginia, and Hilary Greene (Paul) of Dunmore, by his great niece, Olivia Chantal, his Aunts and Uncles; Dan & Suzy Gillette of Moshannon, Dave & Judy Gillette of Karthaus, Holley & Jason Modzel of Morrisdale, Jim & Julie Josephson of Munson, and Andy & Val Kendrick of Snow Shoe, and by numerous cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his material grandfather, James R Josephson, paternal grandparents, Donald E & Anna B Gillette, and uncle, Robert R Josephson.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10am at the funeral home with Father Lubomir Strecok officiating. Burial will be private at Askey Cemetery.
