Rose Marie Brindle, formerly of Aaronsburg, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Wynwood House at Greenhills in State College.  She was 90.  Born March 5, 1932 in Aaronsburg, Rose was a daughter of the late Paul Krape, Sr. and Mary “Bright” Krape.  She was a 1950 graduate of the former East Penns Valley High School.  On June 15, 1952, Rose married Harry “Jake” Brindle who preceded her in death on May 26, 2017.

Rose is survived by two sons, Kelly R. Brindle of Millmont and Kevin J. Brindle (Monica) of Centre Hall; two siblings, Mabel “Mitzi” Krape and Paul “Bill” Krape, Jr.; three grandchildren, Colby and Maddison Brindle and Kaitlyn Xanthopoulos; one great grandchild, Elliot and one on the way; two step grandchildren, Joshua Casher and Jessica Tressler and four step great grandchildren, Harlene, Julian, Jayden and, Talia.

Rose retired from the Penns Valley High School after 20 plus years of service in the library and main office.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim.  She enjoyed reading, watching Penn State and Steeler football and Pirate baseball.  She was a bird lover and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 10-11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim, followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am with Pastor Becky Horn officiating.  Rose will be laid to rest in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery in Aaronsburg.  Contributions in memory of Rose may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Po Box 439, Millheim, PA 16854 or to the Centre Hall Library, Po Box 492, Centre Hall, PA 16828.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.stevenrnefffuneralhome.com.
