A longtime State College business is moving from its downtown location in the coming months.
Old Main Frame Shop & Gallery, which has been located at 136 E. College Ave. for 43 years, is moving to Ferguson Square, 2766 W. College Ave., Suite 100 in January.
Owners Marie Librizzi and Janet McKenna said on Sunday the move of their sales and production facilities will take place in mid-December with the new location opening on Jan. 2. They are looking forward to several advantages the new space provides.
“We are excited for this move that will better serve our customers with free parking, a climate-controlled environment, and easy access to our store,’ Librizzi said in a news release. ‘Many of our customers are family to us and have enthusiastically supported our move to a more accessible location. We intend to continue to offer the finest quality product that we have always provided to our customers.”
Specializing in unique framing projects of all sizes, Old Main Frame Shop is also known for its large collection of Penn State and State College art and personalized diploma frames.
McKenna added that the shop’s staff will remain the same.
“Kathy Davies will continue in her position as retail and commercial sales manager, and our quality custom framing work will be completed on the premises by the same craftsmen,” she said.
While the new location will be open for business in January, a grand opening reception is being planned for the spring.
