Penn State football came in at No. 14 in this week’s College Football Playoff top 25 rankings, a spot higher than the Nittany Lions found themselves in last week. The ranking matches their ranking in the AP Top 25 poll which was most recently released this past Sunday. Penn State is ranked No. 15 in the Coaches Poll.

The Nittany Lions are coming off a impressive 45-14 win over Indiana in Bloomington this past weekend to improve their record to 7-2 on the year after falling to both Michigan and Ohio State in two out of the previous three weeks. Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford started the game for the Nittany Lions and completed 15-of-23 passes for 229 yards. On the other side of the ball, Manny Diaz’s defense generated three turnovers and held Indiana to virtually no meaningful offensive performances.

True freshman running back Kaytron Allen’s was the star of the show Saturday scoring three touchdowns and racking up 86 yards on 18 carries. He also caught two passes for 72 yards.

Penn State will be back in Happy Valley this weekend when it takes on Maryland this Saturday, November 12. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcasted on FOX.
