Nittany Lion fans won’t have to be in market to hear Penn State football games or other Nittany Lion sporting events on the radio anymore after an update to Penn State athletics’ website.

Starting this fall, Nittany Lion fans will be able to listen to free audio and video streaming via GoPSUnow. Audio broadcasts of Penn State’s football games, voiced by Steve Jones and Jack Ham, will be available free of charge regardless of location. The recently launched design is compatible with a wide range of devices and screen sizes but is not yet featured as an app.

Radio broadcasts of home and away men’s and women’s basketball games, wrestling matches and men’s hockey games will also be aired live via GoPSUnow.

Head Coach James Franklin’s weekly press conference and the Penn State Coaches Show are among other broadcasts that will be free of charge.

In addition, several live video events will also be part of the complimentary streaming. According to Penn State athletics, the in-house video service will be the third option broadcasting option if television or the Big Ten Network’s online affiliated service is not present.

It still will be some time before the 2015-16 television schedules are mapped out for sports other than football so it is unclear at this time which games will feature the live and free video streams.
