Penn State football opened up preseason camp on Monday evening with the first practice of the 2022 season. The Nittany Lions are now officially a month from starting off the year with a trip to Purdue to take on the Boilermakers in a Week 1 road clash for the third-straight season.

Monday’s practice didn’t feature any fireworks during the periods open to the media but football was once again in the air in Happy Valley and that felt like all the excitement anyone around the Lasch Building – still undergoing its weight room expansion – needed.

Take a look below at a handful of sights from Monday’s opening salvo into the 2022 campaign.
