Council approved us of the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza on South Fraser Street, closure of the 100 block of South Allen Street and closure of Calder Way between Kelly Alley and South Allen Street from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event, which occurs during Mental Health Awareness Month, is a community celebration of mental wellness that includes live music, wellness stations, artwork, yoga and other activities.

State College Bicycle Ambassadors will hold a Mayor’s Ride from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21. While no road closures are needed, it will cross East College Avenue at Gill Street and at Blue Course Drive, requiring traffic control assistance. The organization will also need PennDOT approval.
