A bill that would give counties seven additional days to process mail ballots has made it out of the Pennsylvania State House, but seems destined to fail if an agreement on voter ID cannot be reached.
Some counties are rejecting primary mail ballots that are missing the last two digits of the year, despite the Department of State’s advice to count them.
Groups including the NAACP want the full 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rule on the issue. A decision is not expected before the April 23 primary.
